The type of jobs in America you can expect to obtain with an H2B' visa is a wide variety of seasonal work throughout the USA and you are permitted to work for up to ten months - making it a great option for anyone wanting to spend their year or career break in the USA.

The H2B Programs was initiated by US Congress in 1991. In 2002, it was wrapped into the Department of Homeland Securitys U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Service. The H-2B visa category is available to temporary nonagricultural workers who are coming to the United States to perform temporary services or labor. Visas in this category are only available if qualified U.S. workers capable of performing such services are not available. There is a 66,000 per year limit on the number of foreign workers who may receive H-2B status during each USCIS fiscal year (October through September). Several key industries in the U.S. (tourism, landscaping, food production, other service sector positions) rely on H-2B workers to fill vacancies despite employers efforts to hire U.S. workers for low-skilled and semi-skilled short-term employment.Under the H-2B program, foreign workers are hired on a seasonal/special event basis and then return to their country of origin when the season/special event is over.

You are eligible for the H-2B Visa provided if:

• You have a valid job offer from a US employer (Form I-797 Notice Of Action - approved) to perform temporary or seasonal non-agricultural work.
• You intend to return to your home country on expiration of the visa;
• You have between 21-40 years old;
• You have a minimum English level skills.

Many different types of jobs, skilled and unskilled, have been approved in the H-2B visa category, including: tomato repackers, short-term construction workers, boilermakers, loggers and other woodsmen, golf instructors, baseball players, jockeys, musicians, dancers, expo and fair guides, sheepherders, temporary cooking instructors, medical instructors, practical nurses, salmon/herring/pollock roe technicians and supervisors, and many others.

It is also important to note that under the law the validity period for the employment must be for less than a 10 month period of time.

Hospitality Possitions: Possible positions include Housekeeping, Conference Services/Dining Room Services, Maintenance, Front Desk, Garden, Kitchen, Bartender, etc

Construction: Construction laborers perform tasks involving physical labor for building, highway, and construction projects, excavations, and demolition. May operate a variety of equipment including hand and power tools: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris, and remove asbestos, lead, and other hazardous waste materials.

Lifeguard: The lifeguards will work in cooperation with one another and with the program staff in coordinating and conducting all waterfront activities. The primary responsibility of the lifeguard is to ensure the safety and health of all persons participating in all waterfront activities.

Landscaper: Landscapers typically perform a number of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, and raking

Warehouse: Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Keep records and compile stock reports.

Eligibility note: It is unlawful to employ a person who does not have permission to live and work in the USA. Unless the advert states otherwise, please ensure you have this permission before applying. It is also important to note that under the law the validity period for the employment must be for less than a 10 month period of time.

The cost of the program is 990 USD and includes a placement up to 10 months. Every candidate will need to pay a processing fee in amount of 790 RON in two steps:

• The candidates who were selected based on their Application Form H2B, need to pass an English interview with a Work Experience authorized representative. The candidates accepted in this program need to confirm their place by transferring 100 RON from the total processing fee 790 RON.
• The rest of 990 USD and 690 RON will be paid only we have approved the Labor Certification from the US Department of Labor.
